Stars Fly Flying School is located at the historical grounds of Elstree Aerodrome.
Originally used in World War II, it was returned to civil aircraft operations in 1946. It has since been used by aero clubs and private pilot owners for basing and operation of single and twin engined light aircraft and helicopters. Feeling a bit bored waiting for someone to finish their lesson? Then take a walk around the grounds and see if you can find the large wartime built Bellman hangar that is now used for aircraft maintenance and storage. Planespotters of all ages will appreciate the nearby family friendly restaurants and up-close access to the runway.
If you would like to learn a little more about how an airfield operates, please get in touch with us and we will be able to arrange a tour of the airfield.
